The Culture Committee at Keller Williams Realty Greater Portland, Maine organized an online auction this summer to benefit Poland Spring Academy, a private school in Poland, Maine. Founded in 1999 by Gary and Roberta (Robbie) Howard to help children who struggle to succeed in the public school system due to a variety of reasons, the Academy changes lives. After the death of her husband in 2014, Robbie was unable to keep the school going, a teacher took over, and it eventually closed in 2020 due to the pandemic.
Now, in 2021, Robbie is committed to running the Academy again as a resource for home-schooled and other students who need their services. In a spirit of giving and love, KW Mainers and their Platinum and Diamond Business partners rallied together for the Academy's cause, raising over $12,000 to help keep the Academy's mission alive in Poland, Maine. Thanks to generous donations and generous bidders, Robbie is on her way to providing much needed alternatives to area children. If you would like to donate to the Poland Spring Academy, please mail to P.O. Box 217 Poland Maine 04274.
To celebrate the re-opening, and to show parents and benefactors gratitude and what has recently been accomplished to re-open, an Open House will be held on August 31st, 2021 from 5-7 PM at the Poland Spring Academy, 14 Hope Springs Rd., Poland, ME. To learn more, reach out to us at Keller Williams or write to Robbie at the address above.
